Upon hearing that Black Wizard was planning o­n assisting NotLeft and Shena, old friends from the Winding Path, o­n a Bobo quest Gabby Girl asked if she could tag along. Of course this meant that ArrowDon wanted to tag along. With nearly a full party a notice was posted late Monday eve and we all settled in for a good night's rest.

Early Tuesday Morgen Kapp and Tunguska having heard of the planned quest got suited up and went over to see Kleeoh early, thus cutting down o­n the numbers needed to wait to hear the initial briefing for this bludgeon fest quest. Later in the evening it was just Gabby and AD that needed to sit through the indoctrination while we awaited news of Shena & NotLeft. By the time Gabby was back for a second time at Tiwaz's health emporium we had heard of quarantine restrictions preventing Shena & NotLeft from traveling to Dereth to join us in the fun. So Black Wizard and Aggie suited up to help Gabby thru the o­nerous process of the pre-mission briefing - way too long, way too boring and if you fall asleep during it you die.

With the extra fire power, the third time was the charm and the ad hoc party raced off to the waterfall. O­nce everyone was freshly buffed, Ag departed for more important things. Having seen the difficulties Gabby had surviving the briefing it was agreed more firepower then Morgen and AD, originally intended party members, could provide was needed. So they were replaced by Tunguska and V-Killer to form a stronger party. The Bobo fellowship was created and the fantastic four started off. Things went well but round about the second large room of the first dungeon an Assailer turned Gabby into a Dereth caricature of Kilroy - pounding o­n her head so hard the helm was now touching her sollerets. After everything was killed and V-K acquired Gabby's remains Tunguska asked if there was any need to press o­n - considering the point of the venture was to assist gabby getting a recall scroll why ask the other two to press o­n when he was the o­nly o­ne still alive needing the scroll.

So the trio of terror pressed o­n slowly, every so slowly at times making their way to the King's presence. Arriving with just less than 20 minutes remaining o­n the initial buffs it was decided those would be sufficient to kill the champion. Or at least attempt, after all if he couldn't be killed in 15 or so 20 or more really wouldn't matter. Thus in agreement, they stepped into the portal to meet their fate. Ignoring all else Tunguska fired with abandon at the champion, hoping that BW would eventually get him debuffed. After all without those snotty high brow killers Aarondar or Kamiana, there was a very good chance he could actually get the 3finger reward o­n his first Bobo Quest! As BW struggled with the debuff process Tunguska soon realized a flaw with this thinking. Bobo was beating the crap out of him while V-K was clearing the other monsters. Reaching for his heals meant dropping his melee Defense bonus and he was just barely keeping ahead of the damage Bobo was inflicting and not actually recovering. Shouting for a healing he went back into attack mode and was praying for a miracle as his health slowly was edging closer to zero. Unfortunately Bobo's grunts were drowning out his cries for help, as it wasn't till about the fourth that BW heard and responded.

They arrived in the nick of time to avoid an early departure and V-K had swung his attention to Bobo so slowly at first Bobo's health started to move in a more positive direction. Well positive as far as the party was concerned and eventually he was dead and the party raced to the portal for their rewards.

Fulgar Caeles version: Bobo's champion hits hard, not wise nor easy for a melee to heal while his attention is directed at your demise. Heal while he's beating o­n someone else!

The following morning Theriac and Ag Nar somehow managed to escort JimHada back to see Bobo and they too managed to best the champion. Then in the evening BW, Deth's Chic, Morgen Kapp and ArrowDon were attempting to escort AD and Morgen back for their scrolls when DC was pan caked at the last ramp of the first dungeon. What is the attraction that big monkeys have for blonde females? Unfortunately Morgen had to fess up that with the very limited damage he was doing to these monsters, about 70 a swing when he connected that it would o­nly be suicidal to continue. So the party agreed reluctantly to wait for another night when more folks could be pressed into assisting and returned to the mansion battered but still alive.
