Cragstone had a new arrival, so i went over and greeted the newbie.

Corporal Liao Chen tells you,

"Greetings, adventurer.  I greet you in the name of Queen Elysa, whose command brings me here today."

Corporal Liao Chen gives you Monouga Laboratory Portal Attunement Gem.

"We seek intrepid adventurers like yourself, who might be willing to help us investigate a concerning development. It seems that some travelers have discovered a cavern in which drudges have been keeping monougas captive. What is unusual is that the drudges have very sophisticated portal sending enchantments which would seem to be beyond their means.  We suspect Virindi involvement of some sort."

"Therefore, Prince Borelean led an expedition to investigate this drudge cavern. When he was finished, he had determined a way to reverse the portal sending - to open a portal from that location to the source of the monougas.  These portal gems are the result of that determination."

"The Queen has commanded that whatever lay on the other side of that portal transit should be explored carefully, with the assumption that whatever is there is hostile.  To do so, take the gem I have given you and charge it against the feeding bell.  It will reverse the workings of the bell's portal sending magic, and, instead of summoning a drudge and a monouga, will open portals to the source of these monsters."

"You are welcome to explore the drudge cave, although many have explored it before now.  The Queen seeks adventurers to enter the portal from which the monougas come, and hopefully more fully identify exactly what all of this humanoid activity means to the Isparian inhabitants of Dereth."

Isn't that nice somewhere there is a drudge cave! How about tossing me a friggin bone even if I'm not the boss?  A clue to it's location would be helpful, even something as generic as east of the WarRoom would be a start.

Once down the hole in the ground it isn't too soon before one arrives at a 4-way intersection.  A short ways to the North, East and South is a small room with two other exits.  One door leads to a bell in a corner and the other leads down.  Some instructions on the ground seem helpful.

MY advice take the east room, it seemed to have the shortest route from the bell to the portal room, with the North definitely being the longest.  It isn't as if you can get confused as there is only 2 ways to go: ahead and the way you came.  But there are a lot, did i mention a lot, of drudges between the bell and the portal room.  A second piece of advice: in the first big room you come to and see a portal, DON"T jump in exame it or you may end up back in Cragstone.  As it seems the instructions are wrong, two portals are created by ringing the bell.  The actual portal is located in a 4th large room, directly beyond a large room with 3 hay stacks.  If you want to just explore before using your gem on the bell as instructed by Corporal Chen, just ring a bell and run down.  The room that would contain the portal to the next dungeon, if you'd used the gem on the bell first, contains one mighty peeved monouga.

You give Bell Monouga Laboratory Portal Attunement Gem.

A tendril of violet energy flickers from the gem to the bell. Suddenly, the gem shatters into a fine powder which trickles out of your hand.  You think that the bell now might do something different if rung.

You ring the bell.

The bell's hollow ring echoes through the corridors and the gantry, and a cold purple glow radiates from below.

Now it is a mad dash to the portal room before the portal disapates.  And don't be fooled by that portal to Cragstone along the way!  No monouga so into the portal we go.  Where a welcoming part awaits us.

Drudge Seraph Mystic lvl 165, H6000/6000

Mosswart Agitator lvl 175, H4190/4190

A short ways in from the arrival point, about as far as 2 of us got trying to kill the beasties i saw 3 paths wandering off in different directions.  So I'd suggest bringing some friends or maybe a running rare.
