Town Crier tells you, "Do you remember that little Mosswart fellow that was looking for help a little while back? Well, he's back. He's living in Yanshi and asking for our help. Apparently he has made some kind of deal with High Queen Elysa."

So using some scribbled notes collected by Ag Nar, I searched around the clubhouse for some brave soul ready to explore. Only Grandlon was around so we raced off to Yanshi to see what help Bleeargh was seeking.

The creature speaks in a broken form of Roulean.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "We try make peace. We needs help before we leave and go make war on lost cousins on islands in the south. You help?"

Bleeargh looks you over quickly.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You strong Isparian. You fight in the place where Bleeargh from. Swamps in lands of dire fighters. You make big wanga against mosswart enemies. You help, much you can do."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Drudge gathering near humie town outside blackmire swamp near mosswart home of green mire. There we lose Spear of Kreerg to Drudges. You get back easy. Not far from there, in trees, Banderlings try to take back the hand of Vagurat. You get that easy too."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You can help get necklace of Leerargh away from Burun. They steal old mosswart home and take necklace. Necklace most important to Mosswarts. You get easily. Not far from here in puddle swamp to south."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Eye of Drageerg taken by dark clouded mosswarts who flee to islands where new home be. You can get easy for Bleeargh and his kin. You have tougher time getting cloth of first mire witch. It on islands in the south too. You go get for Bleeargh he give good reward."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Or you could help Bleeargh get first paint of his kin. The war paint taken by Burun usurpers. They in western part of swamp near swamp temple. They might take that home too. You help Bleeargh, bring these back he give you big knowledge of make items stronger. You unleash knowledge when you learn."

Hitting the portal circuit we headed to Shoushi, and then jogged north out of town. Deciding to make it a short trip we first ran over to the Banderling Hovel.

Once inside a few guards rushed over to greet us. If they were expecting easy targets, Grandlon is a level 84ish archer and I'm nearly 50 higher, they were suprised. The exit portal wasn't of immediate interest and so we moved on.

Moving deeper into the dungeon we next encountered two breeders and a raider and then in a another room we were presented with a decision of going west or south. Going south we encountered a captain guarding a ramp down which dead-ended in a room with an unlocked chest and nothing special. So we returned back up.

Going west this time we were haulted by a pit, across the pit was a cooridor but as we soon discovered it merely lead to a couple of rooms with more guards, a chief and a shoushi portal. That is to say nothing special. So we returned and dropped into the pit.

Out of the pit there were no options but forward. A room or two later and there on a dias against the wall was the hand of Vagurat.

Grabbing the hand we continued forward which lead up some ramps to a ledge overlooking the original entry location. We dropped down and hit the exit portal to continue our journey.

Outside we continued by running NE over to the Drudge encampment.

Four or five slinkers, barely worth the cost of the arrows to kill'em. But one drops six keys to the mosswart chest and of course in the chest we found the Spear of Kreerg.

So with two of Bleeargh's needs meet, we returned to Yanshi and presented our findings.

You give Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord Hand of Vagurat.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You find Hand of Vagurat! Vagurat very mean Banderling. Come to mosswart home and kill many in big wanga. Kreerg fight him and cut hand off. Then Kreerg take up hand of Vagurat and beat him with it. Vagurat die. Mosswart win big battle. Hand of Vagurat is symbol of victory and hope for mosswarts. You give me people hope. You need reward. Hand of Vagurat like humie mace. Meet Isparian that makes maces, he give me so I can give you."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Vagurat's Hand.

Bleeargh bends down and drops his hand in a pile of nearby gunk. He smears two symbols on your cheeks. The stench of the gunk is overwhelming and stings your eyes.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "There, now you need find stone that teach you little better than basic magic to make item strong. No need thank. Have final gift from Bleeargh. Big distoboot thanking stone."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Mosswart Thanking Stone.

You give Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord Spear of Kreerg.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You find spear of Kreerg! Kreerg is Mosswart hero. He make first kill in battle against Banderling wanga at real home. He first Mosswart walk through portal come here. He make swamp homes and help Mosswart make nice with gromnie. He killed by Greearghk when floating things come make Greearghk smart. Kreerg spear get broken. But still symbol to Mosswarts. I meet Isparian who help make spears, he make spear like spear of Kreerg! You have now!"

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Kreerg's Spear.

Bleeargh lifts his hand and licks his fingers. He smears a symbol on your forehead with a foul smelling paste.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "There, now you need find stone that teach you basic magic to make item strong. No need thank. Have final gift from Bleeargh. Big distoboot thanking stone."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Mosswart Thanking Stone.

Luckily, two more of his lost items are nearby, south of town. Once more we set off running. This time south to the Mossy Cave

Our entry was quite and safe, with an exit portal directly behind us. Moving forward down a ramp into large room. Two or three ruuk scamps greeted us. This room has two exits to side rooms with more scamps with nothing of interest and a down ramp in center.

Once down we moved forward past side cutouts with four more scamps to kill until at the south we encountered a series of ramps leading up to the west into another large room.

Of course about 4 more scamps and 4 more show up when those were attacked, but what is theree to worry about they are carrying spears and daggers or clubs - not as if they had dangerous weapons. The exit is to the south but it splits into left and right paths, we took the right path. This cooridor twists around to another ramp up into a large room with three scamps.

Discovering exits to the south and east. Exploring the east lead us up to large room with 2 floor ramps down and a scamp with 6 or 7 smelly keys. Going back down we then took the south exit which lead us along the cooridor to a ramp down.

Off to our right down the cooridor is an exit portal. So we took the left which lead us to a large room split level room (2 holes in floor so possibly mirrored dungeon). At the back of the upper level we discovered two side exits, east and west. The east lead up to an unlocked ruined chest in a large room. While the west ended in a similar large room of weeds with an Old Chest. Using the smelly key we unlocked the chest to acquire the Leerargh necklace.

So we recalled to the top, hit the exit portal and continued our journey southward to Watery Grotto

From what I saw the dungeon appears to have some mirrored aspects so the way I travel to reach the war paint doesn't have to be the same way you go. But if it is mirrored then it is easy to get lost and turned around and rewander areas several times.

We arrived with a portal at our back moving forward we decided on going left. Thru a room then into a second. From there we could have good down to the west, but we took the up to the east were we arrived in a large room with quite a few exits. Here a huge battle was waged and when all the smoke and dust cleared we moved south. There we entered another large room which once more to the south led us to the long ramp up room to the war paint dias.

NOTE: with an archer and a mage the battles where not too difficult, over quickly. With a solo 126+ dagger, sword or axe the battle can rage on a long time especially if you stop to loot. Not too deadly as the only danger would be war spells but with a 250 or 270ish magicDef it merely becomes a pretty light show.

And it is important to loot in here to find the untranslated Writings that get you flagged for the Toad Idol Quest. Writings are drop/give able and then someone who has done at least one Bleeargh quest can turn in and be flagged for the Toad. Unknown at this time of someone that didn't help can get entry flagged - didn't try.

With the third and fourth items recovered we returned to Bleeargh.

You give Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord Necklace of Leerargh.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You find necklace of Leerargh! She mother to many Mosswarts here on humie home. She very powerful before she dies. She teach magics and help young Mosswarts grow strong. She protect shelter and make many hurt Mosswart well again. Her necklace lost when Burun come and steal homes. Bleeargh thank you! Have necklace like Leerargh necklace."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Leerargh's Necklace.

Bleerargh wipes under his arms and kneels down scooping up some nearby gunk and foul smelling swamp water. He rubs the coarse grains of sand between his fingers and draws a symbol on each of your cheeks and along the bridge of your nose.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Mosswart Thanking Stone.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "There, now you need find stone that teach good magic to make item strong. No need thank. Have final gift from Bleeargh. Big distoboot thanking stone."

You give Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord Mosswart War Paint.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You most powerful Isparian!"

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Great Swamp Lord Bleeargh, that me, first make paints as decoration for Mosswart body. Later, with use of bestest magic for make item strong I add magic to paints. Now all powerful Mosswarts wear paints on body. They make good armor for Mosswart people. Bleeargh happy to get paint back. Me make deal with big distobooter Isparian to make many paint. Bleeargh teach you secrets."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Swamp Lord's War Paint.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You can no wear armor over paint or it smudge and be useless. You should not wear cloth either. Well, only Mire Witch loincloth maybe. Magic only come when you no where armor so me make sure that no armor be worn with war paint. You can now make wanga like Mosswart!"

Bleeargh pulls a toadstool and a dye seed from the folds of his loincloth. He reaches down and scoops up some foul smelling mud and crushes the mud, seed and toadstool together in his hands. He then spits into the concoction and mashes the wad of nasty gunk onto your face leaving a big mosswart sized hand print there.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "There, now you need find stone that teach you bestest magic to make item strong. No need thank. Have final gift from Bleeargh. Big distoboot thanking stone."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Mosswart Thanking Stone.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Interview with the Mosswart.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Also get book from humie that follow me around. You have now. Bleeargh no understand silly looking sticks on paper.

Now we needed to travel to Vesyan Isle for the final two lost/stolen objects. Hoping a Kyrst portal, one can be found SE of the bandit castle 61.7N 48.6E, it was just a short run south to the the Dark Mosswart Halls.

Upon arrival we moved north where the path branched east and west. Taking the west fork our only option was forward thru three rooms with mosswarts and shadow lts, then down a ramp, forward some more thru 2 rooms and a library of sorts. Eventually we ran into a half ramp up that immediately went down to the east or up more to the north. Obviously where the mirrored east path reconnects, we took the north route.

Entering a huge room, with a smaller room inside we spotted an object far in the back upon a dias. Killing the party of mosswarts and shadows guarding it we had a harder time trying to pick up the Eye of Drageerg from the dias. Till we gave up and jumped onto the dias.

Behind the room to the north is an exit portal so we took that and countined our run to Umbral Hall.

Drop into Umbral Hall and you only need to worry about Shadow Lts & Pannies, Idols & Dread Idols, Mossward Soul trappers & Zealots. Choose any of the four exits from the landing zone as each winds around to a large room with five portals and as many or more monsters.

East exit leads to: Kara, Al-Jalima, Rithwic, Lytelthrope, Lin

South exit leads to: Sawato, Khayyban, Glendon Wood, Arwic, Freehold

West exit leads to : Xarabydun, Plateau, Samsur, Eastham, Nanto

North exit leads to : Kryst, Al-Arqas, Stonehold, Uziz, Tou-Tou

At the end of the each portal room is a ramp up to a dead end with maybe a monster or two, so forget-about-it they are a waste of time. However, near the center of the room compass opposite of how you came there is a side cooridor that leads around then up a ramp to a junction of these four ramps. At the juncture's center is a drop to a pit below. Drop down and fight your way along the cooridor to a large room containing a smaller center room. On the floor is a loincloth (7 day timer on pickup). Behind, and beyond the small room is a surface portal.

So back to Yanshi.

You give Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord Eye of Drageerg.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You find Eye of Drageerg! Drageerg first shaman! He have much power, teach magic through stones first. He once teacher in fungal catacombs that big bugs keep Mosswarts in. When we escape he fight big bugs and lose one eye. When he die at age of old we keep his other eye to always watch for danger from big bugs. I meet Isparian who makes orb like eye I give you one now."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you The Eye of Drageerg.

Bleeargh reaches into the folds of his loincloth and produces a dark toadstool. He mashes his hands together and then reaches out drawing a symbol on each of your cheeks along the bridge of your nose and on your chin.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Mosswart Thanking Stone.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "There, now you need find stone that teach you much good magic to make item strong. No need thank. Have final gift from Bleeargh. Big distoboot thanking stone."

You give Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord Mire Witch Loincloth.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "You find Mire Witch Cloth! First Mire Witch to wear this cloth put magic into the cloth."

Bleeargh holds the loincloth up.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "Mire witches very powerful. First Mosswarts to use the magic of item stronger. They make cloths to wear about waists that house great magic. This the first one. We keep it safe for much time then the dark cousins come and steal it. It no look like Mosswart lost to dark, care about cloth. You saved it! You need gift."

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Mire Witch's Loincloth.

Bleeargh reaches down to the ground and scoops up some foul smelling mud with his right hand. He spits into the mud and mixes it with his left hand. He reaches out and paints a symbol on each of your cheeks, along the bridge of your nose, on your chin and across your forehead.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord gives you Mosswart Thanking Stone.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "There, now you need find stone that teach you big good magic to make item strong. No need thank. Have final gift from Bleeargh. Big distoboot thanking stone."

So now we had six thanking stones, big whoop as they didn't seem too useful in and of themselves but knowning we could trade them in at the casino we made tracks for the Sho Casino.

You give Mi Gan-Zo Mosswart Thanking Stone.

Mi grumbles under her breath. You make out a few words, "...stupid Ketnan." She smiles and adjusts her vest.
Mi Gan-Zo tells you, "I don't know why I let myself get talked into this by Ketnan, but here goes. Round and round it goes!"

Mi Gan-Zo gives you Lucky Gold Letter.

We got lucky letters, wasp wings, a plush tusker pack doll, a mosswart pack doll, and idol pack doll with the most common award given an Iron Scarab Pea.

Tunguska

Whirlwind of Death and Destruction

NOTES:

Stuff appears to be on a 7 day timer.

While in the Watery Grotto you will want to search all the corpses, as some will drop an untranslated text page. That page is key to getting into the NEXT part of the quest that all important King Toad Idol.

Bleeargh, Mosswart Swamp Lord tells you, "There, now you need find stone that teach you basic magic to make item strong. No need thank. Have final gift from Bleeargh. Big distoboot thanking stone."

In that dungeon fellowship spells can be acquired/learned and you discover a statue that once house hooked lets one learn all Item spells for a level. Six levels actually IF you did each of the six helping quests, as each quest completion flags you for a particular level:

Level I - Spear

Level II - Mace

Level III - Necklace

Level IV - Eye

Level V - Loincloth

Level VI - War Paint

You don't have to actually go on the other quest, just able to access the statue returned by a friend/clan-mate from that quest.

Also be aware that you may have to perform the quests in order to learn the spells. We had one person just go do the level III quest come back and he couldn't learn any spells. He then went and did the level I quest (but not turned in for reward) and level II quest (item turned in) and he could then learn level 2 and 3 spells. Went back turned in item and could then learn level 1 spells.

The dungeon containing the statue is kind of nasty in that you have lots of those 100-130 buruns to fight off, the mage took 30 minutes to fight his way solo to a room with 3 spells on the ground

without finding the idol, before getting just too deep to continue. Will have to go back later with some company this will hopefully be documented soon in another writeup.
