Arm, Mind and Heart or getting a Helm with Horns Having visited Aurutis and Kifandel in Linvak I learned of their need

Aurutis gives you Lugian Scout Report

purchase (85py) the Arm, Mind and Heart from Kifandel

to defeat their enemies to the East, SouthEast and NorthEast and return the purloined 'plastic foozles of ultimate power' objects.  Sure sounds like a quest that was first run by a set of PC lawyers and pyshco-babble censors.  I guess asking someone "go smite mine enemies filling the valleys with their blood and you shall be rewarded" is just too bloody for a wiggles-Teletubbie universe of carebears.  No they must cloak the dark deed in mystery and the need of returning stolen objects.

Long ago you once had to defeat the Lugian Commander in the tunnels under/leading to Linvak before the commander and his lieutenant would appear in the first camp.  Then 10 minutes later the first camp would spawn and each successive camp spawned about 10 minutes after the defeat of the previous Commander.  But now one merely has to race over to the first 'camp' - more like a patch of brown dirt in the snow this time of year then a true fortified encampment - and start the slaughter.

So I ventured to Qalaba'r and took any one of three settelment portals - Southern Park, South Shore Heights, or Linvak Tukal Foothills as all end up about equal distance from the camp - for the short run to the area.  There the encircled Master of the Hunt and his Lieutenant can be found.

If you don't have a sturdy set of armor, a nice shield and a high MissileDefense it may be wise to work you way around the outer edges clearing the lesser luggians before meeting with the two top dogs.  Also watch out for the annoying trio of Mattekars that seem to act as guard/attack dogs.  Once defeated besure to loot the Lugian Crest and the Lugian Pauldrons from the master and the Lt.

Going back to Qalaba'r it was just a short run from the Brigand's Bay settlement portal to the second encampment.  The same type of tatics as employed at the first camp can be used: avoid the rock/hollow-rock tossing luggies and annoying mattekars while removing from the Gotrok Montok Commander and Lt the Blade of Heart and the Scepter of the Mind.

Yeah one more time back to old Qalaba'r to take the Mattekar Slopes settlement portal for the run.  As the second encampment's commanders won't appear till after the first are defeated and the final camp's won't appear till after the second are overcome just running from one camp to the next is a long painful trip over hill and mountain.  Especially since it requires going East, then Southeast then back way up to the Northeast.  Nope tis best to kill a camp commander & Lt and quickly head back to Qalaba'r to hop another housing settlement portal.

Of course at the third camp the victory strategy really doesn't differ from that of the first two: get the Lugian Scepter and the Cloth of Arms from the Lt of the Gotrok and the Master of the Gotrok while avoiding rocks & matties.

NOTE: the Colth of Arms is no-drop/give and as long as you don't kill the Commander, the Lt should continue to spawn letting all in the party get one.  Axe Mastery skill must be at least trained to 250 or higher in order to infuse the sleeves of Inexhaustability.  Failing several times I merely lost the infusion potion (2,800py), previously a failure meant the destruction of the item and a 24 hour wait to pick up another.

With quests of old it would now be on to a nearby tavern for much boasting and celebrating your victory.  But now days we typically still have a more to do. First it is back to Linvak, where

You need to give Aurutis:

the Cloth of the Arm and he returns the Sleeves of the Arm,
the Scepter of the Mind and he returns the Staff of the Mind, and
the Blade of the Heart and he returns the Spear of the Heart in exchange.

NOTE: if you still have and use the old versions of the Arm, Mind, and Heart AND wish to upgrade them you can turn those items into Auritus and he will upgrade them for you, free of charge.

and

You need to give Master Ulkas:

the Lugian Scepter in exchange for the Scepter of Might,
the Lugian Crest in exchange for the Crest of Kings, and
the Lugian Pauldron in exchange for the Helm of the Crag.

NOTE: if you fought your way through Obeloths, Tiatus, Raiders and Extas Lugians to the commander in the tunnels below Linvak and picked up the lugian armor give it to Ulkas in exchange for the Bastion of Tukal.  The Basition is 50AL better and 200py more in value otherwise the items are similar.

Finally it is time to infuse the three no-drop/give items to make them useful, however each will require a particular skill to be at least trained and buffable to about 250 to succeed.  This will require travelling to the three newbie towns and purchasing, 2,700py, potions from the Lugian gem sellers.  Once infused, an item can be given or dropped.

Infuse the Sleeves of the Arm with Calm Strength from Oneros in Shoushi for Sleeves of Inexhautability.  Axe must be trained to accomplish this task.

Infuse the Staff of the Mind with Benevolent Calm from Novedion in Holtburg, for the Staff of Clarity.  Mana Mastery must be trained to accomplish this task.

Infuse the Spear of the Heart with Strong Benevolence from Drawohan in Yaraq for the Spear of Purity.  Spear must be trained to accomplish this task.

Ag Nar

There is a 1 week timer on the items looted from the commanders.

Note: most of the items are nice wall hanging items however the Helm of Crag is the dyeable helm with yellow horns that a lot of folks like wearing about town.
